SALLY WEARE, born in Chicago, lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. After many years exploring drawing, painting and photography, she is currently making psychologically-charged drawings and life-sized digital prints. Sally Weare’s paintings, drawings, collages and prints appear in both public and private collections in the US and abroad.
English and Humanities at the University of Chicago; B.A. in Fine Art from the University of Iowa; Post-Diploma Year in Painting at St. Martin’s College of Art, London; and M.F.A. in Painting from Mills College, Oakland, California.
Sally Weare’s work has been exhibited widely, including Solo shows at Chaos Gallery, Belgrade, Otis Art Institute, Los Angeles, Oakland Museum Collector’s Gallery, CA, Dillingham Center for Performing Arts, NY, Palo Alto Cultural Center, Bechtel International Center, Stanford University, St. Martin’s College of Art. London, and in many 2-3 person and group shows shows at museums, galleries, and universities.
